Im going to throw myself under the game journalist and reviewer bus by saying I've been playing "Balan Wonderworld" and I actually like it. It gives that 2000s Sega feel that I sorely miss. (Think Billy Hatcher and the misc Sega one-offs.) Is it great? not really. But is it as carrier ruining as people say? IMO no.

I've mostly been playing Overwatch 2 (unfortunately >:C) and mobile games lately but a recent game I loved a lot is Hades! basically the only roguelike/roguelite I've played but it's sooo good, excellent characters, art, storyline, music, everything. and the gameplay is super fun even for ppl like me who don't do roguelikes haha

right now, i'm playing plague tale: requiem! been waiting forever for it to come out and it's so good and worth it... it is also a kind of "scary" ish game, not horror, but it is in a scary like setting with millions of plague rats that eat everyone. fun times
